Anees Hair Saloon

You can find us at Shop Number 103A in the Begumpur area of Malviya Nagar. We are pretty close to the Mother Dairy, which is how most people find their way to us if they are new to the area. The shop is small and simple, just the way a local saloon should be. We have a couple of chairs and the usual tools of the trade laid out on the counters. It gets quite warm in here during the summer months, so the fans are always running at full speed. There’s always a bit of talk going on, usually about cricket or whatever else is happening in Delhi 110017. We don't have any big posters or fancy decorations, just the mirrors and the equipment we use every day. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly, but we try to keep on top of it with the broom. It’s a place where the local guys come to get a shave or a quick haircut before heading out to work or home. We’ve been in this spot in Begumpur for a while now, and it feels like home. There is nothing complicated about what we do here. We open up the shutters in the morning, wait for the first customer, and just keep going until it's time to close up for the night.
