I’m based out of Zakir Nagar in Okhla. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, as anyone who lives here knows. My space is on the 1st floor of the Md Kalimullah building, specifically 2B. You have to come down Gali Number 22 to find us. It’s a narrow street, always full of people and activity. That’s just how it is in this part of town. The office isn't very large, but it serves its purpose perfectly. I’ve been here for a while and I’ve grown used to the noise from the street. It’s actually quite nice to have that energy around. Inside, it’s a different story. I try to keep things quiet so I can get through my work. There are a lot of papers and books around. It’s not one of those modern, minimalist offices you see in magazines. It’s a working space. The walls are a bit plain, and the furniture is just stuff I’ve picked up over the years. I spend most of my day here. Zakir Nagar has a specific feel to it, and I think our setup fits right in. It’s honest and straightforward. I don’t really like having a lot of fluff around. It’s a practical spot for someone who just wants to work without distractions. I usually have tea around four.
