Afsar Men Saloon

Our shop is at Shop No-F5 in the Main Market of Safdarjung Enclave and it stays pretty busy most of the week. Being in this part of Delhi means we see all kinds of people coming in for a quick trim or a shave. Afsar Men Saloon is not a very big space but we have managed to fit everything we need inside the walls of F5. I usually get here in the morning to wipe down the glass and make sure the combs are clean before the first rush. The main market can get really loud with all the cars and people walking around but inside it's a bit more relaxed. We have a small television in the corner that usually plays the news or some cricket match if there is one on. The chairs are comfortable enough but they’ve been around for a while now and show some wear. I spend a lot of my day standing on my feet so I appreciate the quiet moments when I can just sit for a minute and have some water. The neighborhood has a lot of regulars who have been living in the enclave for years and they always have stories to tell about how things used to be. We don't do anything too complicated here, just the basic stuff that people need. It’s a decent way to spend the day and I’ve gotten to know the other shopkeepers around here pretty well. We often share tea in the afternoons when things slow down a bit and the sun starts to set.
