Abhishek Sharma

I’ve been based out of Sadiq Nagar for a while now. Flat-70 in Sector-1 is where I handle everything. Being in New Delhi 110049, you’re right in the middle of all the government housing and busy streets. Abhishek Sharma is the name, and this flat is both my home and where I get my work done. It’s one of those older sectors, so the trees are actually big and provide some shade, which is a blessing in the summer. The flat itself is a bit cluttered. I have boxes stacked in the hallway and my main workspace is just the dining table most days. I try to keep it neat, but when things get busy, the papers just start piling up. The neighbors are mostly quiet, except for the guy downstairs who likes his music a bit too loud on Sundays. I don't mind it much. It’s a lived-in kind of place. You can hear the parakeets in the trees outside in the morning. I’ve got a routine where I walk down to the local market for some supplies and then spend the rest of the day hunched over my laptop. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s real. I don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you just ring the bell and I’ll probably be there in my t-shirt. It’s just how things are here in Sadiq Nagar. It’s not fancy, but it is home and work all mixed together.
