New Mahamaya Marble & Builders

Down in Sarat Pally, in the Canning area of 24 Parganas South, you’ll find New Mahamaya Marble & Builders. We handle a bit of everything when it comes to building materials, but marble is a big part of what we do. The shop is usually a bit of a mess with samples and construction stuff lying around, but we know where everything is. People from all over Canning come to see us because we’ve been here a long time and they know what to expect. We don't have a slick website or a marketing department. It’s just us talking to customers, figuring out what kind of stone or building supplies they need for their projects. Sometimes we’re out on a site helping someone, and other times we’re just here at the shop moving bags of cement or slabs of marble around. It’s dusty and hard work, especially when the sun is out, but that’s just how the building trade goes. We like seeing the new houses go up around Sarat Pally and knowing we had a small hand in it. We don’t use any big words to describe ourselves; we’re just builders and marble sellers trying to do a decent job every day. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we get to talk to every person who walks through the door and handle the business in our own way.
