Shiv Karan College Of Education is located out in Gurukul Matinda, near Sonipat. It’s a bit away from the main city noise, which is good for studying. We mostly focus on training people who want to become teachers themselves. It is a quiet spot, and you can see fields from some of the classroom windows. The building is simple, painted in a plain color, and we have a decent courtyard where students sit during their breaks. Most of our students are from the nearby villages around Sonepat. They come here by bus or bikes every morning. We have a small staff room where the teachers sit and plan their lessons over tea. It isn’t a flashy place with marble floors, just plain cement and brick. We make sure the library has the books they need for their B.Ed and other courses. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows for some air. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or big signs. People in the area know where we are if they want to get into the teaching profession. The main gate stays open till evening, and then things get very quiet once the last bus leaves. It’s just a honest place where people learn how to manage a classroom of their own one day, without any of the extra fuss.
