Aryawart College Of Education is located out on Sehri Road, which is a bit of a drive from the main Sonipat town. It is mostly open fields around us, so you get a lot of fresh air but also a lot of dust when the wind picks up. The students come from all over the Tehsil, many of them taking the local buses that stop at the main junction in Kharkhoda. The college building is a simple, wide structure with a large courtyard in the middle. We spend a lot of our time managing the library because the students are always looking for specific teaching manuals. There is a small staff room where we sit and have lunch, usually discussing the latest updates from the university. It is a very quiet place compared to the city, except when there is a local festival or when the tractors are moving through the fields nearby. The classrooms have high ceilings to keep things cool, and we have basic wooden desks that have been around for a long time. We do not have many fancy gadgets, just the usual blackboards and a few computers in the corner office. Life here moves at a slower pace, and we focus on the practical side of training people to be teachers. Most days are just about checking the attendance registers and making sure the grounds are kept relatively tidy for the next morning.
