You can find our mill, Multania Roller Flour Mill Private Limited, at Plot No-284/1/A/1 on Hotgi Road, over in the Majrewadi area. It’s a pretty large operation compared to some of the smaller shops you see around. We have several roller machines that run almost constantly throughout the day. The whole building vibrates when they are at full speed. We process a lot of wheat into flour every single day. It’s a very dusty environment, and we all wear scarves over our faces to keep from breathing too much of it in. My family has been running this mill for a long time now. We’ve watched the area around Hotgi Road grow from almost nothing into a busy part of the city. The traffic can be a real pain when the grain trucks are trying to back into our driveway. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. Our business comes from the long-term relationships we’ve built with local bakeries and small shops. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because if one roller breaks, the whole line stops. I’m usually the one crawling under the machines with a wrench. We don't use fancy software to manage things, just a big ledger book where we write everything down by hand. It’s worked for us for thirty years, so we don't see a reason to change it now. We just focus on keeping the mill running and the flour bags moving out the door.
