Kohinoor Pulses

Kohinoor Pulses is located at Shop No.46-47 in the Market Yard. We are right on Nanded Road, and if you look across, you’ll see the sugar factory. It’s a very busy part of Latur. Every morning, the market is full of tractors and trucks bringing in loads. Our shops, 46 and 47, are usually piled high with bags of pulses. The smell of grain is everywhere. We spend most of our time weighing things and talking to the traders who come through the yard. It’s not a clean or quiet job. There is always dust in the air and people shouting to be heard over the engines. We have been here in the Latur district for years. We know the rhythm of the market, when it’s going to be packed and when it’ll be slow. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We sit on wooden stools and keep our accounts in big registers. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break, but mostly we are moving bags around. The floors are concrete and get pretty worn down from all the heavy lifting. It's a simple business of buying and selling what the farmers grow. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. It’s just us working in the heat of the market yard, day in and day out, for the people of Nanded Road.
