Dinu Food Poha Industry

Our industry is located on Old Midc Road in India Nagar. We are quite close to the Latur Railway Station so you can always hear the whistles and the rumbling of the trains going by. Dinu Food Poha Industry is a busy place especially during the harvest seasons. Making poha is what we do and it involves several steps with the grain. Even though the machines are old and make a lot of noise, they still get the job done every single day. There is always a layer of white dust over everything which is just a sign that we are working hard. We have a few big sheds where the raw materials are kept. By the afternoon, the sun hits the metal roofs and it gets quite warm inside. We usually take a break then and sit in the shade of the big neem tree near the gate. Since most of our workers live nearby in India Nagar, they just walk to work. We don't have a fancy entrance or a receptionist. If you need someone, you just walk in and yell over the noise of the machines. It is a straightforward operation. The finished bags are loaded onto trucks that take them to the markets. After a while, you get used to the smell of flattened rice. It’s just our daily life here in Latur.
