V.T. Hotels And Resorts is located up in Chail Blossom. It's a nice spot in the Kandaghat area. Chail is a bit quieter than Shimla, which we really appreciate. We’ve been operating this place as a small LLP for some time now. It’s mostly just a few of us handling everything from the front desk to the kitchen duties. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a high-tech computer system for bookings. We still use a lot of notebooks and just talk to our guests face-to-face to get things sorted. The weather up here is really something, especially when the clouds come down into the trees and everything gets misty. We spend our mornings making sure the water heaters are on and the breakfast is ready for the guests. It’s a lot of routine work, but it’s what keeps the place going. We chose Chail Blossom because it’s got a good feel to it and isn't as crowded as the main towns. We don't use any big words or marketing talk to describe what we do. We just provide a room for the night and maybe some advice on which local trails are best to walk. Sometimes things go wrong, like a pipe leaking or a light going out, but we fix it as fast as we can ourselves. It’s just the reality of running a small business in the mountains. We’re here most days, just working and making sure the place stays decent for whoever visits.
