Our office is on the first floor in the village of Balana. It’s in Solan, under the P.O. Shamti area. The full address is Solan-173212, Himachal Pradesh. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and we like it that way. Shirgul Agro Private Limited is our name, and we mostly work with local agricultural interests. Since we are on the first floor, we can see a bit of the surrounding hills from the windows. It’s a simple building. Nothing fancy at all. We have some basic furniture and our records are kept in old-fashioned files mostly. The walk up the stairs is good for the legs. We spend our days talking to people from the nearby farms and handling the paperwork that comes with the agro business. Solan is a good place for this kind of work because of the climate and the people. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our jobs and go home to our families. Sometimes the electricity goes out when there is a storm, so we just wait it out. It’s just how things go here. Most people find us through word of mouth. We don't do much advertising. We just stay in our office in Balana and take care of the people who come to see us. It’s a decent life with plenty of fresh mountain air.
