Gridfarm Agrisolutions Private Limited is run from The Gardenhouse in Village Andreta. It’s a beautiful spot in Panchrukhi, Himachal Pradesh. Navjot Kaur Randhawa looks after things here. Andreta is known for its art and pottery, but agriculture is just as important to us. We focus on agrisolutions, which sounds complicated, but it’s really just about finding better ways to farm in the hills. The Gardenhouse is a quiet place where we sit and plan out how to help local growers. It’s not like a regular office. There are plants everywhere and it feels very lived-in. We like it that way. We aren't into that corporate culture where everyone wears a suit. You’ll usually find us in boots or sandals, depending on the weather. We deal with the realities of farming in the mountains, which isn't always easy. The terrain is tough and the weather can change in a minute. We try to provide answers that actually work for the small plots people have around here. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us working together. We talk to the neighbors and see what they need help with. We don’t make big promises. We just try to provide practical tools and advice that make the workday a little shorter or the yield a little better. It’s a nice life here in the village, and we’re glad to be a part of it. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
