FLOWER PAPER PRODUCTS

If you drive down Virudhunager Road, you will find us at No: 220/2A4. That is where FLOWER PAPER PRODUCTS is set up. The road is always busy with trucks and buses going back and forth, but inside our gates, we have our own little world. We do a lot of work with paper, so there is always a layer of dust on the windows and the shelves. We don't mind it because it shows we’ve been busy. We have a couple of large machines that take up most of the floor space. They have their own quirks and noises, and we’ve learned how to listen to them to make sure they are running right. Our work is pretty repetitive, but there is a rhythm to it that we all enjoy. We aren't a corporate outfit with meetings and presentations. Our meetings usually happen while we are standing around a workbench or eating our lunch in the shade. We focus on the orders we have in front of us. Some days are long, especially when the sun is beating down on the roof, but we have our fans and our cold water. We’ve been at this for a while on this road, and most of the people who live nearby know us. We just try to be a helpful part of the community and keep the machines turning so we can get the work done and go home. It’s not a complicated life, but it is ours.
