Regengy Room

Up here in Mount Abu, things move a bit slower than they do down in the plains. Our place, the Regengy Room, is tucked away inside the Cama Rajputana Club Resort on Adhar Devi Road. It’s a bit of an older setup, which gives it a certain feeling that you don’t get in the city hotels. We deal with a lot of people who are just here to see the hills or visit the temples. The air is cooler up here, and we spend a lot of our time making sure the heaters are working and the tea is hot. It’s not a high-speed operation. We take our time with things. The grounds around the resort are nice for a walk, and we often see the same faces coming back year after year. Working here means you get used to the quiet nights and the sound of the wind. We don’t really do any big marketing; mostly it’s just people finding us because they wanted to stay somewhere familiar. The furniture is a bit dated, and the floors might creak a little when you walk across them, but it’s comfortable enough for a few nights. We focus on the basics like clean sheets and making sure everyone gets their breakfast on time. It is a decent place to stay if you are looking to get away from the noise for a few days. We just keep the doors open and the rooms ready for the season.
