Down by the Ghoda Stand near Nakki Lake, that’s where you’ll find our little spot. Mount Abu gets a lot of visitors, especially when the weather is nice, so we see a lot of different faces coming through the door every day. Being at 307501, we’re right in the middle of where people walk around after looking at the lake or taking a boat ride. It's not a huge place, but we have enough chairs for most groups to sit down together. We spend most of our time in the back getting the food ready. The floor is just tile, which makes it easy to sweep because people bring in a lot of dust and dirt from the street outside. We don’t really do anything fancy with the decor, just some old pictures on the walls and the menus sitting on the tables. Sometimes the monkeys outside get a bit rowdy on the roof, which is just part of living up here in the hills I guess. We open up early and stay busy until the lake area quietens down late at night. It’s a lot of washing dishes and making sure the spice jars are topped up. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now, so we know most of the other shopkeepers nearby. When it rains, the place fills up fast because everyone wants to get inside and stay dry. We just try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long for a seat. It’s a simple life running a dining hall in a place like this.
