Jodhpur Bhojnalaya

Jodhpur Bhojnalaya is situated right at the taxi stand in Mount Abu. If you are looking for us, we are just opposite the Bank of Baroda. Being near the taxi stand means it is never quiet. There is always the sound of engines and drivers shouting to each other. We serve simple food to people who are traveling or drivers who need a quick break. Mount Abu gets a lot of visitors because of the weather, especially when it is hot down in the plains. We see people from all over. Our place is small and the furniture is just basic wood. We don't have a fancy menu card, usually we just tell people what we have made for the day. It is usually dal, rotis, and some vegetables. We try to keep the prices low because we know people are on a budget. The bank across the street is a good landmark for people who are lost. We have a few fans that run all day to keep the flies away. It is a very honest kind of place. We don't pretend to be a big hotel. We are just a bhojnalaya where you can get a full stomach for a few rupees. The kitchen is right at the back and you can see the steam coming out. It is a busy life but we are used to it now.
