Maru DAR Restaurant

Maru DAR is a restaurant located on the Bujela Highway, which is part of Nh-14. We are right in the Swaroop Ganj area in the Sirohi district, not too far from Abu Road. If you are heading toward Mount Abu, you might see us on the side of the road. This is a very practical kind of place. We serve the people who are traveling on the highway, like truck drivers and families on vacation. The building is simple and we have plenty of space for people to park their vehicles outside. Inside, it is just a regular dining room with wooden tables. The kitchen makes local Rajasthani style food that is meant to be filling. It gets quite hot out here in the sun, so we have fans going all the time to keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be a fancy tourist trap; we are just a local stop for anyone who is hungry. The staff lives nearby and they know the road very well. Sometimes people stop just for a quick tea and others stay for a full meal. It’s been here for a while and we just keep doing the same thing every day. It’s a busy road and we are happy to be a place where people can rest for a bit. The highway noise never really stops, but inside, you can at least get a decent meal and a cold drink before you head back out.
