Mahaveer Marble

Out here in Village Sirodi, things are a bit quieter than in the big cities. Mahaveer Marble is situated right on the Kandla State Highway in Tehsil Reodar. We’re very close to the Jain Mandir, which is a nice place to be near. Being on the highway means we see a lot of trucks and people traveling long distances. Our yard is big enough to hold a decent amount of stone, and we keep it all out in the open. It’s a simple setup. We don't have air conditioning or fancy chairs. Most of the time we’re outside checking the blocks or talking to drivers who are dropping things off. The sun can get really hot in this part of the country, especially during the summer months, but we just deal with it. We don't have a big marketing team telling us what to say. We just tell people what we have and what it costs. It’s a practical way to do business. Sometimes the wind blows the sand all over the place, and we have to spend time cleaning off the slabs so people can see the patterns. It’s just me and a few others working here most days. We like the pace of life in Reodar. It's honest work and it keeps us busy. We’ve been here for a long time and the highway has always been our main connection to the world.
