You can find us on Jaipur Road where we spend our days working on batteries and dynamos. It’s a specialized kind of work, so we see a lot of different vehicles, from small cars to big industrial engines. The shop is full of charging units and testing equipment that’s seen better days but still works just fine. We have batteries of all shapes and sizes lined up on the floor. Most of our day is spent cleaning off corrosion or checking why a dynamo isn't putting out enough power. Jaipur Road is always humming with traffic, so we never really have a quiet moment. The smell of battery acid is something you just get used to after a while. We don't have a lot of space for people to wait, so most customers just leave their stuff and come back later or stand around and chat while we work. It’s a bit of a cluttered shop, with wires and old casings everywhere, but we know where everything is. Sometimes a job is easy and takes ten minutes, other times we are scratching our heads for an hour trying to figure out an electrical leak. We just do the work as it comes in and try to be honest about what needs fixing. It’s a small operation and we like it that way. No big corporate rules here, just fixing things so people can get back on the road.
