Our group, Bada Gaon Pro Agrotech Producer Company Limited, is located in the village of Bada Gau over in Nawabganj. We use Omwati’s house as our main point of contact. She is the wife of Har Prasad, and they have been part of this community forever. Most of us who started this are just local farmers who wanted to do things a bit differently. We realized that if we pooled our resources, we might have a better shot at getting our crops to the right places. Bada Gau is a small place, and everyone knows each other’s business anyway. Farming is what we know. We don't spend much time in an office because the real work happens in the mud and the sun. Sometimes the crops are good, and sometimes they aren't, but we keep at it. It’s a practical way to manage what we grow. We handle everything from the seeds to the final harvest. It’s a lot of physical labor, and we don't have any fancy equipment to do the talking for us. If you’re looking for us, just ask around Nawabganj for Har Prasad’s place. We are usually around there somewhere. We aren't trying to be some big national corporation. We just want to make sure our village can keep farming and that the people doing the work get a fair shake. It’s a simple life, and this company is just a tool to help us manage it better.
