Kanoria Organic Fertilizer

Our place, Kanoria Organic Fertilizer, is located at Maheshwer Niwas. It’s near the Prospect Coal Company in the Upper Chakker area of Shimla. Being up here in the hills means we see a lot of different weather, and it definitely affects how we work. We focus on organic fertilizers because that’s what we decided to get into years ago. The office is part of a building that’s been around for quite a while. It has that old Shimla feel to it. We don't have a huge staff or a lot of high-tech gear. It’s mostly just us keeping track of orders and making sure everything is moving like it should. Sometimes the monkeys around here cause more trouble than the actual work does. They like to hang out on the roof. People from around the district come by to talk about their soil or what they're planting next. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just like doing our work in Upper Chakker and helping out the locals who need what we have. It’s a steep walk up to our spot if you’re not used to the altitude. Most of our days are pretty routine, filling out forms and talking to suppliers. It’s a steady pace of life. We like it that way. No need for all that city rush or fancy offices. Just simple work that we do every single day.
