It’s not a high-pressure environment with people in suits running around. It’s more about sitting down and figuring out how to get things from one place to another. We have a lot of conifers around us, which is where the campus gets its name, I guess. It smells nice after it rains. We don't really have a lot of time for making ourselves sound important. Most of the time we are just worried about whether the truck arrived on time or if the paperwork for the month is sorted. We are just local people who decided to start something here in Shimla instead of moving away to the bigger cities. It’s quiet enough that you can actually hear yourself think, which helps when things get complicated. We have our routines, like who gets the mail and who makes the mid-day tea. It’s a small operation, but we put our time into it every single day. We don’t need anything more than a solid roof and enough work to keep us moving.
