Green Tunnel

You can find Green Tunnel right in the middle of the New Sabzi Mandi in Dhalli. We are at SCO- 1, Block- A. If you’ve ever been to a mandi, you know it gets loud and crowded very early in the morning. That’s when our day usually starts. There’s a lot of shouting, crates moving around, and people trying to get their business done before the sun gets too high. It’s a messy place sometimes, but that’s just how it goes with fresh produce. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just a practical space where we handle what comes in. Sometimes the floor is wet from the rain or from washing down the area. We see a lot of farmers every single day. They bring in what they’ve grown and we deal with it from there. It’s hard work and the hours are quite long. Most of us here have been doing this for years, so we know the rhythm of the market. We don't use big words or have meetings; we just talk while we work. The smell of vegetables and fruits is always in the air. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. If you come by, don’t expect a quiet office. It’s a working market and we are right in the thick of it. That’s just the way things are at Block- A.
