Cafe Coffee Day,New Delhi

This particular spot for Cafe Coffee Day,New Delhi is actually up in Shimla. We are located at Durga Villas, right near Shivalik Bhawan on Army Road in Sanjauli. It is a bit different from the cafes you see in the big crowded cities. The air is much colder here, and we often have to keep the doors shut to stay warm during the winter months. We spend our days making coffee and heating up snacks for whoever walks in. Sometimes it is tourists who are a bit lost or just need a break from walking up the steep hills, and other times it is locals who live nearby in Sanjauli. The space isn't huge, but we have got enough tables for a decent crowd to sit and talk. We don't have a big fancy staff; it is just a couple of us who know how to run the machines and keep the place clean. The view outside can be really nice on a clear day, but mostly we are just looking at the road and the people passing by. The building itself has that old Shimla feel to it, and the pin code 171001 is pretty well known around this part of town. We don't do anything too special, just provide a place to sit and have a hot drink. It is a quiet life compared to the plains, and we don't mind the slower pace at all.
