North Eastern Concrete Industries

Our facility is situated in the Byrnihat Industrial Area, right along National Highway- 37 on the Guwahati Shillong Highway. It's a busy spot with all the trucks moving between the cities. We have a lot of space here for the concrete work, which is good because we need it for the big mixers and the piles of aggregate. The noise from the highway is constant, but you stop noticing it after a while. We spend our days managing the production line and making sure the concrete sets properly. It’s a heavy industry, so everything we touch is heavy and usually dirty. The crew at North Eastern Concrete Industries is used to the physical side of things. We wear boots and high-vis vests all day. Sometimes the rain in this part of the country slows us down, and we have to adjust our schedule. We have a small office for the paperwork, but most of the action happens out on the main floor or in the loading zone. Being on the highway makes it easy for the transport trucks to get in and out, even if the traffic gets backed up sometimes. We don't have any fancy corporate offices. It’s just a plain industrial building where we do our jobs and try to keep things moving. We don't talk much during the shift because the machines are loud, but we get the work done. It’s just how we operate out here by the highway.
