You can find us right on Shamli Road, which is part of SH 12 in the Jagahedi area of Muzaffarnagar. Being so close to the main road means there’s a constant backdrop of traffic noise. You hear the horns and the rumble of trucks all day long, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. Our school is specifically for the middle school years. The building is a simple one-story structure with a few rows of classrooms. We have a bit of open space out front where we hold the morning assembly. It’s not a very big place, so everyone knows everyone else. The teachers and the students are mostly from the nearby areas. Most of the time is spent going through textbooks and making sure the registers are filled out correctly. Administrative work takes up a lot of the day on top of the actual teaching. During the winter, we often move the classes outside so the kids can sit in the sun to stay warm. It’s a very informal atmosphere in that way. No fancy facilities or big sports fields are found here. Our classrooms and books are what we work with every day. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes with the budget, but we make it work. We’ve been part of this roadside community for a long time. It’s just a regular school doing regular work for the kids in this part of Muzaffarnagar.
