Bhudhar Kisan Producer Company Limited

Our spot is right on A. B. Road here in Shajapur. If you know the area, you know it gets quite busy with all the trucks and people passing through. We are a kisan producer company, which basically means a bunch of us farmers from around here decided to pool our resources. We go by the name Bhudhar Kisan Producer Company Limited. It gets lonely farming on your own and sometimes you just don't get the prices you need for all that hard work. So we set this up to handle things together. We spend most of our time out in the dirt, but the office on A. B. Road is where the paperwork happens. Shajapur has good soil but the weather can be a real pain sometimes. One year it's too dry and the next it's flooding the fields. We just take it as it comes. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity with shiny windows. We’re just local folks who know the land. Most mornings start early before the sun is even up properly. We meet, talk about what’s growing, and try to figure out the best way to move our produce. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of heavy lifting. Being in Madhya Pradesh, we see a lot of change, but the farming stays the same. We just try to make sure everyone gets a fair shake. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. Shajapur is our home and we plan to stay right here.
