Tirumala Hair Cutting Saloon is found at Srt: 401 in Jawahar Nagar Colony, Ashok Nagar. We are in Hyderabad, tucked away in the lane right next to Victoria Cafe. You can often smell the tea and snacks from the cafe while you’re sitting in one of our chairs. The shop is a basic one, with the usual blue or green walls and big mirrors that have been there since we opened. We have been serving the Ashok Nagar area for many years. It’s a quiet colony for the most part, though the lane can get busy with people going to the cafe. We have a few wooden chairs for people to wait in and a small TV that is usually on a news channel. Our tools are simple—hand clippers, scissors, and a few combs. We don’t do anything like fancy spa treatments, just honest hair cutting and shaving. The staff here is small, just a couple of us who have lived in Hyderabad our whole lives. We know the local gossip and the best places to eat nearby. It’s a friendly atmosphere where nobody is in too much of a hurry. We open up in the morning after a cup of tea and stay open until the evening rush is over. It’s just a neighborhood spot where you can get a haircut for a fair price.
