Shees Beauty Clinic

Being in Gandhinagar is nice because it is a familiar area for everyone around here. We have been running Shees Beauty Clinic for a while now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up, sweep the hair from the previous evening if we missed any, and get the mirrors polished. It’s a local spot where people come in to get their hair done or maybe just a quick cleanup. We have a few chairs and some big bottles of shampoo and cream sitting on the shelves. It isn’t one of those high-end places with fancy lights, just a simple shop with a good fan to keep the air moving when it gets hot outside. We spend a lot of time talking to the women who come in. You hear all sorts of stories about the neighborhood and what’s happening at the market. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, so we have to wait a minute for the tanks to fill back up. We try to keep the towels clean and folded in the back. On weekends it gets really busy and we are all on our feet for hours. Usually, we just grab a quick tea from the stall nearby when there is a gap between customers. It’s a lot of work, but we like being part of the street here in Gandhinagar. Everything is pretty straightforward and we just take it one person at a time without any rush.
