You can find Swathi Hair Saloon at Shop No: Srt 225 on Jawahar Nagar Main Road. We are directly opposite Raghuchandra Enterprises. Jawahar Nagar is a pretty tight-knit place in Hyderabad, and being on the main road means we see everyone passing by. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a small door with our name on it. Inside, we’ve got the standard barber setup. The chairs have seen better days, the leather is a bit worn in spots, but they are solid and get the job done. We have a small television in the corner that’s usually on a news channel or showing a cricket match when there is one. The walls are covered with a few old calendars and some pictures of different hairstyles that people might want. It’s a man’s space mostly, where the local guys come to get a shave or a quick trim. We talk about the local news or the weather while we work. The shop gets a lot of light in the morning from the front door. We keep our scissors and combs in jars of blue liquid on the counters. It’s a routine we’ve had for many years. Opposite us, Raghuchandra Enterprises always has people moving boxes around, so there’s always something to look at while waiting for customers.
