You’ll find us at the Chenoy Trade Centre in Secunderabad, which is basically the heart of where everyone goes for electronics. Our shop is number 16 on the ground floor, right in the middle of all the action on Parklane. It’s a noisy, crowded building, especially on the weekends when everyone is looking for parts. We spend a lot of time moving boxes of peripherals around—mice, keyboards, cables, you name it. The ground floor is always busy, so there’s a lot of dust and the sound of people haggling in the hallways. Our space is small and every inch of the walls is covered in shelves to hold as much inventory as possible. We don't have a quiet office to sit in; we’re usually standing up or moving stuff around to find a specific item for a customer. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons when the building is full, so we usually have a couple of fans going at full speed. We’ve been in this trade for a while and we know the other shop owners nearby. It’s a competitive place, but we just focus on what we’re doing at our own counter. Most of our day is spent checking stock or helping someone find a connector they can't find anywhere else in the market.
