Our office is in Flat 201 on the second floor of the Jabbar building, right there beside Shoppers Stop on the main road in Begumpet. It is a busy area, so there is always something going on outside our windows. To get to us, you just come up to the second floor. The office is not massive, but it has enough room for our computers and a big table where we spread out the large-scale prints. Since we do both architecture and interiors, the place is often a bit cluttered with tile samples, carpet swatches, and thick rolls of blueprints that never seem to stay rolled up. Being in Begumpet means we are right in the thick of things, which is handy for getting out to sites. Inside, it is mostly the sound of clicking mice and the occasional hum of the air conditioner. We do not put on any acts here. It is just a group of us trying to make sense of floor plans and elevations. Sometimes we are here late when a deadline is breathing down our necks, and other times it is a bit more relaxed. We spend a lot of time double-checking measurements because a small mistake on paper can be a big headache later. It is a straightforward operation. We just sit down at our desks, pull up the files, and get to work on whatever project is currently on the board for the day.
