Modernetic Architects & Interior Designers is situated over in Old Alwal. Our address is Door No 5-430/8/99 in Sree Nagar Colony. If you know the area, we are quite close to VBR Gardens, which is a big landmark for people around here. The office is basically a working space where we sit and draw up plans for houses and different rooms. It’s a bit of a walk from the main transport spots, but it’s a quiet enough neighborhood for thinking. We have desks covered in blueprints and sample materials like wood bits and tiles. Some days we are out at sites getting dusty, and other days we are just here staring at the screens. It’s not a fancy studio with glass walls or anything. It’s a practical room in Alwal where we try to figure out how to make spaces work better for people. We talk a lot about where to put walls or what colors might look okay together. Sometimes the tea man comes by and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. We have been doing this for some time now in this same building. The neighbors know us and we know them. It’s a simple setup. We don’t go for anything too flashy, we just focus on the measurements and making sure the drawings are right before anything gets built. Sometimes the printer jams and we spend an hour fixing it, but that's just part of the day. We just keep at it and get the work done.
