Our office is over in Bharani Colony, Sainikpuri. Akritii Interiors Architecture Design Solutions is on the first floor of the Crystal building, Flat 102. It’s right next to the Hanuman Temple. It’s a peaceful enough spot, except when there’s a festival at the temple. We focus on interior design and architecture solutions. The office has a lot of catalogues and sketches spread out everywhere. We aren't very organized with our desks, but we know where everything is. We’ve lived and worked around Sainikpuri for a while, so we understand the kind of houses people have here. We don't use fancy jargon to describe what we do. If a kitchen needs more light, we just figure out how to get it there. We spend a lot of time visiting sites and talking to painters and electricians. It’s not always pretty. Sometimes things go wrong, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a mistake on site. We like the hands-on part of the job. We are a small team, so you usually end up talking to the same person every time you call. We don't have a big front desk or a waiting area. We just have a table where we can sit and look at plans together. It’s a local business through and through, just doing one design at a time for the people in our community without any big corporate layers.
