Diksha The Secunderabad Waldorf School

We've been over here at Plot No 9 in the Ap Text Book Colony for a while now. Karkhana is a busy area but inside the gates things feel a bit different. Usually, you’ll see kids working with their hands, maybe knitting or painting, or just being outside. It's not the kind of place where everyone is sitting still at a desk all day long. We try to keep things fairly simple. The building itself isn't some fancy glass structure, just a regular space where learning actually happens. Most mornings start with some rhythm, maybe a song or a bit of movement to get the energy right. Our teachers spend a lot of time preparing their own lessons instead of just reading out of a standard textbook. It's a lot of work but it feels right for the way children actually grow up. You might hear some flute music coming from a classroom or see a group out in the garden digging in the dirt. We focus a lot on the seasons and how things change outside. Parents often drop by and stay for a chat, which makes the school feel like part of the neighborhood. It gets a bit loud when the kids are running around during the breaks, but that's just how it is. We aren't trying to be the most modern school in the city, we just want to be a place where childhood isn't rushed. It's just us over here in Karkhana, doing what we do.
