Aakruthi Unisex Hair & Beauty Saloon

Our shop is right on Balkampet Road, almost directly opposite the temple. If you know the Yellama Temple, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. We're at a spot where it’s always busy with people coming and going for prayers. We do both men’s and women’s hair here since it’s a unisex saloon. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My sister helps with the beauty side while I mostly handle the haircuts. We’ve been in Balkampet for quite some time now. The building is older, but we’ve tried to make it comfortable inside. It’s funny how many people stop in after visiting the temple because they realized they needed a trim. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to use the scissors and the thread. It gets noisy outside with the traffic and the bells, but inside we just focus on the work. We use standard products, nothing too over the top. Most customers are locals from the nearby streets who want something quick and affordable. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first person to walk in. It's a living, and we like being part of this neighborhood. Sometimes we share tea with the shopkeepers next door when things are slow. That’s life at Aakruthi. We just do the work day by day and hope for the best.
