Urmodi Pork Farming Private Limited

Urmodi Pork Farming Private Limited is located at House Number 160 in the village of Shahapur, within the Satara district. We chose this name because the Urmodi area is very familiar to us and it’s where we feel at home. Raising pigs is a full-time job that doesn't really have any holidays. The animals need to be fed and their pens need to be cleaned every single morning, no matter what the weather is like. Shahapur is a nice place for this kind of work because it’s a bit away from the main city noise, so the animals stay calmer. We are a small team and we do everything ourselves, from hauling the feed to checking on the health of the piglets. It’s not glamorous work and you definitely get dirty, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we enjoy. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when a litter is born or if the feed delivery is late, but we just handle it as it comes. We aren't interested in fancy marketing or sounding like a big business. We are just folks in Satara trying to run a good pork farm and make sure the quality of our livestock is high. It takes a lot of patience and physical labor, but that’s just how life on a farm is for us here.
