You can find us at Mr. Babaso Shankar Jadhav’s place in Targaon. It’s a small village in the Koregaon taluka of Satara. We focus on making feed for fish. It’s a niche business, but there are more fish ponds around here than you’d think. We spend most of our time mixing ingredients and making sure the quality is right. If the feed isn't good, the fish won't grow, and that’s bad for everyone involved. We aren't a big factory. It’s a more hands-on operation. The roads in Targaon can be a bit rough, especially when it rains, so getting supplies in and out is always an adventure. We don't have a big marketing budget. Most of our business comes from word of mouth between the local pond owners. We’re just regular people trying to provide a good product. It gets dusty in the workspace, and the smell of fish meal is something you just have to live with. We started this because we saw a need for local feed that didn't cost a fortune to ship from the city. We work long hours, often starting early before it gets too hot. Satara is a beautiful place, but the work is hard. We’re just glad to be a part of the community here and help the local fish farmers keep their stock healthy. It’s a simple life and we are happy to keep doing what we do.
