Om Earth Movers

Om Earth Movers is located right here on Satara Road in Songirwadi. If you know where the Kalubai Temple is, we are basically right there. We've been doing this for a while now, mostly just handling the machines and getting them out to sites whenever people need some digging or clearing done. It gets quite busy around here with the traffic coming through Satara Road, and some days are just filled with the sound of engines and people stopping by to ask about rates or if a machine is free for the next morning. It’s a lot of work keeping everything maintained, especially with all the dust that gets into the filters. We spend a lot of our mornings just checking the oil and making sure the hydraulics are behaving. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a place where we keep the equipment and wait for the next call. Sometimes the monsoon makes things a bit slow because the ground gets too soft for the heavy stuff, so we just sit around the shop near the temple and wait for things to dry out. It’s just a regular local operation. We know most of the guys around here who do construction. Some days are long, starting before the sun is even fully up, and we don't finish until it's dark. That's just how it goes with earthmoving work in this part of town. We just try to keep the machines running and help out when someone has a plot to clear.
