Ajanta Earthmovers

Out here at Ajanta Earthmovers in Karad Taluka, specifically in the Shanivar Peth area of Talbhag, we spend most of our time around big machines. If you come by our place in the district, you’ll probably see a lot of grease, heavy tires, and the smell of diesel. We work with earthmoving equipment, which means things are always getting dirty. Our shop is where we bring the machines back for maintenance or when something breaks down on a job site. It’s a lot of physical labor, crawling under frames and turning heavy wrenches. We don’t have a fancy showroom because our customers are more interested in whether the machine will start in the morning than what the office looks like. The yard is usually full of parts and old equipment that we use for spares. Most of the guys here have been working with engines for years, so we have a pretty good idea of how to handle the common problems that pop up. Sometimes we have to go out into the field when a machine gets stuck or stops working in the middle of a project. It’s a long drive sometimes, but that’s part of the job. We live and work in this district and know the terrain pretty well. It’s noisy and messy, but there is a certain satisfaction in getting a big engine running again after it’s been sitting dead for a few days. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
