Our company is tucked away behind the old post office in Dahiwadi. It is a place where women from around Ranand come together for the goat and sheep business. We have a small office at house number 383 on Dahiwadi Road. It's usually noisy with everyone talking at once about market prices or feed. We aren't a big city firm. Most of us grew up raising animals, so it made sense to start this producer company. It helps to work as a group instead of alone. The road gets quite dusty in the summer months. We spend a lot of time looking at the sheep and goats and making sure they are doing okay. It’s not easy work. Sometimes the market isn’t great, but we keep going. The office is simple, just some chairs and a desk. We handle the buying and selling and help each other out with vet stuff when we can. It feels like a big family most days. People know where to find us, just look for the old post office and head back. We don't have fancy brochures or anything. We just talk to the ladies and see what needs doing for the day. Raising goats is a 24/7 job. You can't just turn it off. We're just trying to make a living and keep the animals healthy in this part of Satara. It's just honest work we do together.
