At Kay Bouvet Engg. Pvt. Ltd., we are located in a place called Kashil, which is in the Satara district. It’s a bit of a rural area, but we have our engineering setup right there at the Post Kashil. Being out here in the 415519 area means we aren't stuck in the middle of a big city, which we actually prefer. The work we do involves a lot of technical engineering stuff, so the shop floor is usually pretty busy with the sound of machines and people working on different parts. We have a lot of local guys working for us who have been here since we started. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s name. We spend our mornings checking the latest specs and making sure the fabrication is going according to the plan. It’s a lot of grease and metal and hard work. We don't really have a big fancy office for visitors; we usually just talk out by the machines or in the small room we use for our desks. The air is a bit cleaner out here than in the cities, and we like that we can contribute to the local economy in Satara. It’s not a complicated philosophy we have; we just want to make things that work and keep the shop running smoothly for another day. It’s tough work sometimes, but it feels good at the end of the shift when you see what you’ve built.
