Vishal Gift House

Vishal Gift House is a local shop in Sangli, specifically over at Vishrambag Chowk. It’s a busy intersection and we’ve been part of it for quite some time now. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, from small trinkets to bigger items people might need for a housewarming or a birthday. We don't have a computerized inventory system or anything like that. We just know where everything is on the shelves because we put it there ourselves. The space is a bit tight because we try to keep a lot of variety in stock. When people walk in, they usually spend a bit of time just looking around at all the different rows. It’s a family-run kind of place. You won't find people in uniforms here. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to the customers like neighbors, which most of them are. Being in 416416 is good for us because there are always students and families passing by the chowk. We open up in the morning and sometimes we stay late if people are still browsing. It’s a lot of dusting and organizing to keep the place looking okay. We aren't trying to be a big department store. We just like having a shop where people can find something nice without making a big fuss about it. It’s just our little corner of Sangli where we work every day.
