Our school is located out in the Kupwad MIDC area of Sangli. It’s an interesting spot because we are surrounded by various plots and businesses. Being at Plot No P36 and P61 means we have a decent amount of space, but the surroundings are quite industrial. You can often hear the sounds of the nearby factories while you're standing in the yard. It isn't the quietest place, but it works for us. The kids arrive on the yellow buses and head straight inside. We try to keep the classrooms as a calm space away from the heat outside. Sangli gets quite dry, so we have to water the few plants we have every single morning. The school isn't trying to be anything fancy. We have the standard classrooms, a place for lunch, and enough room for the children to run around a bit during their break. We deal with typical school issues like lost water bottles or broken chalk. The staff here is mostly local people who live within a few kilometers. We see the same faces every day and that’s nice. There is a sense of routine that keeps everything moving. We just focus on getting through the curriculum and making sure the kids stay out of trouble during the day. It’s a straightforward operation here. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just keep teaching and don't make a big deal out of it.
