Hira Tiles

We have been operating Hira Tiles from Shop No 1 on the Main Road in the District for quite some time now. It is a straightforward kind of place where we keep different types of tiles for floors and walls stacked up against the walls. The shop is right on the busy road, so there is always some noise from the traffic outside and a bit of dust that we have to wipe off the samples every morning. Most of the day is spent showing people various patterns and trying to help them figure out what might look okay in their bathrooms or kitchens. It is heavy work moving the crates around, and our backs usually feel it by the end of the day. We are not a big showroom with fancy lights; it’s just a practical space where we keep our stock. Sometimes people come in with very specific ideas they saw in a magazine, and we do our best to find something similar in the stacks. We usually sit on plastic chairs near the entrance when it is quiet, watching the vehicles go by on the Main Road. It is a local business, run by just a few of us here. We keep it simple and try to be honest about what we have in the shop at any given time. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that keeps things moving. We just focus on the job and getting things loaded for customers.
