Western Tiles

Western Tiles is located right on the Main Road in Karad. If you know where Shashi Clinic is, we are just near there in the village of Tasgaon. It is part of the Palus taluka. The shop is full of different types of tiles stacked up against the walls. We have stuff for floors and walls, mostly ceramic and vitrified. It gets a bit dusty because of all the stone and the road outside. People from the village and nearby areas come in when they are building a new house or maybe just fixing up a bathroom. They usually bring their measurements on a piece of paper and we walk around looking at the patterns. I don't use any fancy sales talk. I just show them what is in stock and tell them the price per square foot. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late or the color doesn't look exactly like the sample, but we try to sort it out. It is a practical business. My family helps out sometimes when it gets busy. We see a lot of contractors and masons who know exactly what they want. We spend a lot of time moving heavy boxes around and making sure nothing gets cracked. It is honest work and the shop has been a part of this road for quite a while now. Most people just stop by because they saw the sign while driving to the clinic or heading into town.
