Ge Godavari Engineering Ltd. is situated right off the Mumbai National Highway-9. It’s a convenient spot because it's easy to find, though the highway noise is always there in the background. We’ve been here for a while now, doing engineering work. The shop floor is usually a mess of metal scraps and parts, but that's how we like it. It shows we're actually doing something. Our team is mostly local guys who know their trade well. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; usually, one of us just wipes our hands and comes to the gate if someone pulls up. The weather out here on the highway can be tough, either too dusty or too muddy when it rains. But the work doesn't stop. We handle various engineering tasks, some big and some small. We don't spend money on fancy signs or glossy brochures. We'd rather spend it on a new lathe or better welding equipment. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, we do the engineering, and we go home. Some days are longer than others, especially when a deadline is coming up. But that’s the nature of this kind of work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with words. We just want the machines to run properly. That’s what matters to us at Godavari Engineering.
