Sri Venkata Posavi Engineering Works

Our workshop, Sri Venkata Posavi Engineering Works, is located at Plot No.72 in the Ida, Phase-Iv area. It’s a straightforward engineering shop. We don’t have much in the way of decoration. There are mostly just workbenches, welding sets, and pieces of metal lying around waiting to be worked on. The Ida is a busy place with lots of small units like ours. We spend most of our time out on the floor doing the actual engineering tasks. It’s dirty work and our hands are usually covered in oil or dust by midday. We don’t spend much time in the little office room we have. It’s better to be where the machines are. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoon and makes it pretty warm inside, but we have some fans that help a bit. We’ve been at Plot 72 for a long time, so we know most of the other shop owners on this road. We just do the jobs as they come in. Some days it’s repairs, other days it’s making something from scratch. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated processes. We just look at what needs to be fixed or built and we get to it. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. The neighborhood is quiet at night but during the day it’s all hammers and drills. That’s just life in Phase-Iv for us.
