Jaffar Engineering Works

Jaffar Engineering Works is tucked away at Plot No A1, specifically inside Shed No 4. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren’t looking for it. The shed is a decent size for what we do, which is mostly fabrication and small-scale engineering. We’ve been working out of this space for a while now. It gets quite noisy when we are grinding or welding, but that is just part of the job. There isn't much in the way of decoration here. We have our tools on the walls and a few heavy workbenches. The lighting could be better, but we have some portable lamps for the tricky bits. Usually, it's just a couple of us working at any given time. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, one of us has to wipe our hands and go pick it up. Shed No 4 is part of a larger complex, so we have neighbors who do all sorts of other things. We often borrow a ladder or some oil from the guys next door. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere. We don't have any big goals of becoming a huge company. We just want to do right by the people who bring us their projects. Most days are long, but the work is steady. We usually close up once the sun goes down and the street lights come on. It’s a basic shop but it gets the job done. We just keep the machinery clean.
